I usually recommend ALDI stores to anyone because they almost always have the lowest price on everything.
I drive out of my way to shop at this Aldi vs others in the area. It's clean, quiet, and freshly stocked. The staff is especially nice, too, and very genuine. Instead of the old cliche "Have a nice day" BS, they make your day nice.
However- when buying fresh produce from this store, time and again, I have had to throw it out within a couple of days. Their bags of "Cuties" oranges are contaminated with mold spores that sprout quickly. Their strawberries and blueberries tend to get some white fluff on it that is mildew or a fungus or some such thing.
Thought I was going to be able to go get dinner at 6:30pm on a Wednesday night just to find out they were closed!
If they would fix the mold problem on fresh foods, I'd give them a five star rating again.
Love this store before the remodel. Now, it's Amazing! Absolutely, love the new flow pattern, so much room and additional selections! Bravo, ALDI!
Good value, but produce selection is limited. Champaign's ALDI is better. We don't feel like we can get all of our groceries here. But the organic products are good and affordable
Also - they have raised the price of milk and now their neighbor, Walmart, has a lower price than them. They have also raised the price of their chocolate so that it's actually cheaper to buy name brand.
